Corporate support

The responsibility of stopping domestic violence rests with every member of our community. Every contribution helps Women’s Legal Service to provide critical legal advice and support to Queensland women.

Client testimonial

“I could not afford a lawyer to fund my ongoing court proceedings and other avenues for legal assistance had failed. The Women’s Legal Service did not abandon my girls and I… The support, professionalism and kindness of these committed women was with me throughout one of the most difficult times of my life.”

Women’s Legal Service welcomes new corporate supporters. These relationships can be flexible and tailored to best meet the interests of your organisation. For example, a corporate supporter might:

  • Make a commitment to a sponsorship.
  • Commit funds to support specific services of Women’s Legal Service.
  • Sponsor additional staff to enable more women to reach our service.
  • Help fund our public education programs on domestic violence and access to justice.

The activities of corporate supporters can also include:

  • Raising awareness about domestic violence and the work of Women’s Legal Service.
  • Engaging Women’s Legal Service to provide workshops on how workplaces can support employees experiencing domestic violence.
  • Nominating Women’s Legal Service as the charity of choice for fundraising events (for example, staff free dress days, morning teas, conferences and festive season events).
  • Supporting Women’s Legal Service through workplace giving.

If you are interested in Women’s Legal Service providing training to your organisation or at your workplace, please contact us to discuss how we could assist.

Please contact Natalie Davidson, Women’s Legal Service Fundraising and Network Development, to discuss the options for corporate support from your workplace or organisation.

All donations to Women’s Legal Service above $2 are tax deductible.

Women’s Legal Service thanks our current corporate supporters. Each supporter has helped Women’s Legal Service to help women in crisis across Queensland.

Women’s Legal Service also thanks the Zonta Club of Brisbane Breakfast for helping to provide emergency assistance to Women’s Legal Service clients who are in crisis.

We would also like to thank our Ambassador Marisa Vecchio for her generosity in opening Hanworth House to Women's Legal Service for the photos depicted in this website. Many thanks must also go to our helpers on the day, Carly, Rebecca, Phoebe, Alex and Jack.
