How do I get Advice?

An information line is available and is usually open from 9.30am ‑ 1.00pm weekdays. This line is very busy and we are aware that it can be difficult to get through but please keep trying.

Daytime interviews

Daytime interviews with a solicitor are available however an appointment is necessary. Please note that appointments are usually booked three - four weeks in advance. Unfortunately, no solicitors are available during the day if you drop in without an appointment.

For women outside Brisbane and women who are unable to come to our premises, telephone day appointments can be made. Limited video conferencing appointments are also available for women in South West Queensland. Please contact the day staff for further information.

Advice sessions

Legal advice sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6.00pm 8.00pm excluding public holidays. You can telephone or drop in at these times for legal advice.

All advice is individual and confidential, and no appointment is required. Women are requested to attend or contact the service before 7.00pm. Due to the demand, interviews can be limited to 20 minutes
