What's New

Funky Fundraiser a great success!

WLS would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who supported us by organising, performing at, creating artwork for and attending the recent 4C Arts Collective event at the Valley Studios. It was a wonderful night and several thousand dollars were raised. All the donated proceeds will go towards making our service fully accessible by building a lift to the first floor, and creating much needed extra space for client interviews.

If you missed the night you can listen to the musician’s demos and see pictures from the last event via their myspace website www.myspace.com/4cartscollective. Bands included Little Vegas and the Fuzz Parade; Strange Attractors; Little Scout

Separation Book - 7th Edition

The Latest edition of our most popular publication is now available. It has been extensively updated to reflect legislative changes to Family Law and includes expanded sections on mediation pathways and children's issues.

For the first time in several years we have had to raise the price of the Separation Booklet due to increased publishing costs. However, clients of WLS are able to receive a free copy of the book, upon request.

'Mediation on Children's issues in family Law

Please note: We are currently updating several sections of the Mediation booklet, and will be printing the second edition in late August 2008. It will be available for sale in September.

Download an electronic version of the first edition here

f you are separated and cannot agree with your ex-partner about the future arrangements for the children then you may be required to attend or be referred to a mediator for assistance.

This booklet will be helpful as it will provide you with an overview about what is involved in mediation.  It explains the mediation process, when you can get an exemption from attending and provides some practical tips for preparing for a mediation.

If there has been domestic violence in your relationship, it also makes some suggestions about ways you may be able to make the process safer for yourself and your children.
