Emails and Legal Advice
It is Women’s Legal Service policy not to provide legal assistance via email, however you are welcome to contact our service for information and advice using any of the following options.
Evening Advice
We hold evening legal advice sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6.00pm - 8.00pm. No appointment is necessary. All advice at Women's Legal Service is individual and confidential; and all advice is provided free of charge.
Day Phone Advice
Our advice line is open during the day
Monday - Friday from 9.30am - 1pm
A message can be left on our answering machine outside these hours. Simply press' 0 ' while listening to the taped message. If leaving a message, please indicate if it is safe to leave a message otherwise we will not do so.
Day Appointments
You can make a day time appointment with one of our solicitors - this can be made
by ringing through on our advice line or dropping into the service. There is generally a two or three week wait for a day appointment.
Other options
If you are not living in Australia
If you do not currently reside in Australia, any assistance we could provide will necessarily be very limited.
If you would like us to ring you on an overseas number, please be aware that our service only operates between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, Queensland time. (Queensland time is generally similar to Australian Eastern Standard Time, but does not use Daylight Savings in the summer months.)
